{are you ready for some football?}
Ethan's first football game was tonight...GO BILLS!
It ended in a tie...3-3
The second TOUCHDOWN of the game was scored by Ethan! Funny though, he refered to it as a homerun!
He's loving ever minute of this! So are Papa and I!

{Yet another WHERE DOES TIME GO post}
Wow...Time flies!
And sadly, I had some profound (or so I thought) words to jot down, and now...they are gone! The story of my life!
While I'm here however, there was ANOTHER rabbit casualty tonight, and though the number of deaths are lower, I think this tragic event was worse than the last! And why do these things ALWAYS happen when Eric is out of town!?!?!??!
We have a busy weekend planned! Ave is spending the weekend with us while her Daddy moves their life from Northville to Shelby Township! Woo-hoo! Here's to hoping the end up LOVING Shelby and decide to stay!
That's it for now, but because I think a blog pos
t is naked without a photo, here is the most random and unnecessary photo...{yet for some strange reason it just makes me happy...it screams summer!}!

{Insert Pomp & Circumstance Here}
It's official....Lauren is a high school graduate!
And what a way to end the school year...with her best GPA to date (a 3.73, I believe!)!
Isn't she beautiful? We're SO proud of her! She's grown up so much in the past two years, it's been so wonderful to share all of this excitement with her!
Now Western Michigan University is next to conquer!!! I'm not ready to see her go yet, so I will cherish every moment this summer!
{Introducing Zachary}
So blessed....
Zachary Michael was born on June 4, 2008 at 2:52 AM, tipping the scales at 6 pounds/2 ounces and 19.75 inches long.....This is Zach on his 2nd day here!
{Where exactly does time go?}
{Insert long deep breath here}
This is the first time coming up to breathe in a L O N G time!
Time flies....so much I need to/want to post about!
- Baby W arrived safely....we couldn't be happier about the new addition in our family!
- Lauren graduated from high school!
- Ethan finished first grade!
- Ethan started piano lessons (at his request)!
- We threw an enormous graduation party!
- A trip to Grand Rapids is in the near future!
Now that I've typed it all out, it doesn't seem like a lot all!
More to come!

Ugh....
I should probably be blogging about more profound things, especially since I haven't posted in ages, but I really feel bad for Chris Osgood! Poor guy....three overtimes in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs and the Wings lost. Something tells me Ozzy isn't going to sleep a wink tonight!
GO WINGS!
GO WINGS!

{Family Fun}
What a wonderful day!!!
I had a great time taking pictures of Liam and his mom and dad today at Heritage Gardens. He was a total doll with the GREATEST laugh!!!
Then...El Charros for Cinco de Myao a day early and a celebration of Mom's Birthday and Mother's Day. Of course this meant that I got to see my girlfriend Ava and that makes me very happy! She gets more and more beautiful everyday!
We had fun with bubbles at mom & dad's!
And the boy in the picture?!?!?! Who is he? Would hardly recognize my own son....shaggy hair, holey jeans, ugh!!!! Good times though! Fun was had by all! Times like these are far and few between!
In other news, we're also happy to report Aunt Patty got to go home for bed rest (after two weeks in the hospital) and wait for Baby's arrival! We're counting the days now! Can't wait to meet Baby W!

{Baby Wyciskalla}
Keeping Baby Wyciskalla, Mom Patty, and Daddy Doug in our thoughts and prayers tonight...
As everyone was planning and preparing for a baby shower in the morning, Baby W decided he/she wanted to come into the world two months early!
Baby is 4 pounds and getting steroids to strengthen lungs and mom is getting meds to put off labor.
Lord, hear our prayers.......

{Doing what I love}
I've had the camera in-hand all weekend...I'm a happy girl!
This is Stephanie. We shot her Senior pictures today. I've only had the chance to go through a few but can tell already, we're going to have a hard time picking! Not only is she a pleasure to be with but also oh-so-photogenic! I could have spent all day with her! She was a real sport! We hit all the spots I've been dying to try! Thanks Stephanie!
This is Josh. We did photos to celebrate his upcoming 1st birthday! I've had the privilege of photographing him three times in his short little life! What a joy he is...those dimples and those eyes! Oh my!
My hopes for Sunday is to get Ethan to sit for a photo or two!

{Don't let the faces fool you}
Mondays in general are not fun for anyone.
This Monday was no exception, but one event in particular made me wish we never woke up!
Don't let these sweet faces fool you...They had a breaksfast unlike any others...It wasn't rabbit stew, but a litter of newborn bunnies. Ethan and I watched helplessly in horror. It was too late for us to do anything to help. We were so sad. I forget that our dogs are animals. They've been in trouble with me all day and don't even know why! Mr. Gerry was kind enough to come and clean up the carnage. We owe him bigtime!
Sorry bunnies...

{SPRING...finally!}
Never mind the fact that it has been over a month since I last posted...
We had the most WONDERFUL Sunday yesterday! Yes, we spent hours cleaning the garage...for the first time since we've lived in this house (almost four years!), we can actually park a car in it! Woo-hoo!
Even more wonderful than the garage and the glorious weather, was the fact that Ethan had a great day! It was a day of BOYS, FUN, MUD, TAG, SCREAMING, CORN DOGS, BIKE RIDES, WALKS BY THE POND, FRESH AIR!!!
It reminded me why we bought this house. Our first time driving by, we were excited to see a front yard across the street, filled with kids of all ages, playing together. We knew that that was exactly what we wanted for Ethan. Kids everywhere, enjoying summer, enjoying each other!
These photos of Ethan don't do the day justice, but I had to capture him like this, nonetheless! He came home after hours of play - covered in mud - head to toe! Really!
Bring on summer!!!

{Inspiration!}
Came across this online tonight. It's from the book "A Better Way to Live" by Og Mandino. The book sounds great...full of reminders with it's "17 Rules to Live By".
This rule hit home tonight...(Why couldn't I have read it before I wasted my weekend away!?!?!
"Never again clutter your days or nights with so many menial and unimportant things that you have no time to accept a real challenge when it comes along. This applies to play as well as work. A day merely survived is no cause for celebration. You are not here to fritter away your precious hours when you have the ability to accomplish so much by making a slight change in your routine. No more busywork. No more hiding from success. Leave time, leave space, to grow. Now. Now! Not tomorrow!"
Her is one for Monday...
"Welcome every morning with a smile.Look on the new day as another special gift from your Creator, another golden opportunity to complete what you were unable to finish yesterday. Be a self-starter. Let your first hour set the theme of success and positive action that is certain to echo through your entire day. Today will never happen again. Don't waste it with a false start or no start at all. You were not born to fail."
